Happy Sunday guys. How are you all? I hope you are having a lovely, relaxing weekend. I’ve had a pretty full on week with one thing and another, so apologies if that shows in the quality of my blog-post today! It’s another fashion one (surprise surprise), and is largely focused around my new t-shirt, which I picked up in TK Maxx a couple of weeks ago. Cue the garden snaps!
So yes, here is the t-shirt in question. It’s from Wrangler - a brand which I haven’t bought from before, but have obviously heard good things about. It initially caught my eye because of the colour - red and pink is one of my favourite colour combinations, so I was drawn to it straight away. The quality of this piece is amazing, and feels so so soft. It’s also slightly loose fitting, and super comfortable on the skin - what more could you ask for eh. Even though we’re obviously moving into the colder months, I thought it would still be fun to try and style this t-shirt up for autumn-winter, and show you guys what I’d choose to pair with it on a cold(ish) October day in the UK.
Wearing this t-shirt out, I knew that I was going to need a bit of warmth, so opted for my amazing suede 70’s style jacket, which always gives me major Starsky & Hutch vibes. This was a present from Calum a few years ago, and I absolutely love it. It really does keep you so wrapped up and warm, and is perfect to wear on a cold, crisp winters day. With that, I decided to wear my trusty & Other Stories jeans (at this point guys, would you expect anything else). They just go with everything and are probably up there with some of the best jeans I’ve ever owned.
With that, I decided to wear some statement heeled boots. These bad boys are from Topshop, and were super popular when they came out about 4 years ago. I remember my friends got me a voucher for Topshop for my birthday, and I went straight in and picked up a pair. I’m not great with heels, it must be said, but I do find these relatively comfortable all things considered (pointed toes can be a killer for my feet). I wouldn’t necessarily wear these out for a full day of walking around town, but you get the picture.
And then we have my beautiful little Longchamp bag. Again, a present from Calum (thanks babe!). I’m starting to reach for this wee guy more regularly now, and really like what it adds to an outfit. Yes, I know that my boots are black and my bag is navy, but the colour combination genuinely doesn’t bother me. I think it works! Longchamp designs are so beautifully simple, and the bags are fairly long-lasting (considering the canvas material). It was my friend Gail who got me hooked - I remember seeing her with one and thinking - damn, she looks good. I’d like to think that I’ll always have a Longchamp bag in my wardrobe now - thanks for the inspiration Gaily!
I also wanted to break out the beret again for this outfit, because the pink matches so well with the pink of the t-shirt. If you didn’t get the chance, have a read of last week’s blog-post, where I chat all about why I love this wee hat so much! I think it goes really well with this ensemble.
So there we have it - a slightly thrown together outfit, but one which I really like, and would definitely wear at this time of year. What do you guys think? Thanks again to my mum for helping out with taking these photos - I’m very grateful! As always, all of the links to my outfit (or alternatives) will be down below, as will all of my social media channels. If you enjoy reading my blog - it would honestly mean the world if you could tell all yer pals and loved ones about it!
Also, just to let you all know, next Sunday is my birthday, so it’s likely that you won’t see a blog-post from me next week I’m afraid. I’m planning on spending the day with my loved ones, go out on a nice walk, and get a takeaway. What could be better! So yeah - have a lovely week guys, and I’ll catch up with you soon!
Lotsa love,
El x
